Indiana American Water has successfully completed its acquisition of Community Utilities of Indiana's water and wastewater systems, a transaction finalized on June 1, 2026. The deal, whose financial terms remain undisclosed, adds approximately 8,200 customer connections to Indiana American Water's existing operations. This acquisition expands the company's service area to include communities such as Merrillville, Lakes of the Four Seasons, and Roselawn. As part of the transition, Indiana American Water will also welcome around eight employees from Community Utilities of Indiana.
