Affle MEA FZ LLC, a subsidiary of Affle Inc., has entered into a definitive asset purchase agreement with DT (NASDAQ: APPS), formerly known as Digital Turbine, to acquire select strategic assets of AdColony. The deal, announced on June 15, 2026, involves an undisclosed amount and includes key components such as the AdColony SDK for both Android and iOS devices, the associated tech platform, existing integrations with in-app publishers and mediation platforms, as well as the brand name, domain, and goodwill directly related to these assets.

This acquisition is a strategic move for Affle, enhancing its 3i Consumer Platform technology stack and aligning with its ambitious 10X growth strategy. By integrating AdColony’s assets, Affle aims to broaden its software development kit (SDK) reach, thereby facilitating greater connections with a diverse range of mobile publishers on a global scale. The company’s focus on verticalization and an expanded intellectual property portfolio is expected to improve the effectiveness of its consumer conversion strategies, particularly through its differentiated Cost Per Converted User (CPCU) business model.

For DT, the transaction represents a strategic shift toward concentrating on its core media and distribution platforms. The decision to divest certain AdColony assets follows DT's previous acquisitions of Fyber and AdColony, which were intended to consolidate its technology stack around a single exchange platform, now known as DTX. Bill Stone, CEO of DT, emphasized that this move allows the company to streamline its operations and focus investments on building a stronger long-term platform. The partnership with Affle is seen as a natural fit, leveraging both companies' strengths to enhance value for advertisers and publishers.

The acquisition of AdColony is poised to reinforce Affle's commitment to scaling its operations globally while delivering personalized recommendations throughout the consumer journey. With AdColony’s established reputation among publishers, Affle is expected to deepen its engagement with both existing and new advertisers. This enhanced reach, coupled with richer audience intelligence, positions Affle to deliver differentiated value in the competitive landscape of digital advertising.

Looking ahead, this transaction may have broader implications for the digital advertising sector, particularly as companies increasingly seek to optimize their technology stacks and improve ROI for advertisers. The integration of AdColony's assets into Affle's platform could set a precedent for similar strategic acquisitions in the industry, as players aim to enhance their capabilities in a rapidly evolving market. The ongoing partnership between Affle and DT may also signal a trend towards collaborative approaches in leveraging technology and data for improved advertising outcomes.
