Stark Power Ltd., a prominent player in the energy sector, has announced a definitive agreement to acquire 100% of Sagebrush Infrastructure Partners, LLC (SAGE), a leading developer of hyperscale data centers and co-located natural gas-fired power plants. The financial terms of the transaction, which was disclosed on June 8, 2026, remain undisclosed. This acquisition is set to enhance Stark Power's capabilities in addressing the critical power needs of hyperscale data centers, particularly in the Central U.S.

SAGE's portfolio comprises five hyperscale data center campuses currently in active development, boasting an aggregate IT capacity of approximately 5.6 gigawatts (GW). To meet the substantial power demands of these facilities, SAGE is concurrently developing co-located natural gas-fired power plants. This dual approach aims to provide dedicated and reliable power delivery while mitigating broader grid constraints, positioning Stark Power to effectively serve the increasing energy requirements of its clients in the hyperscale sector.

The strategic rationale behind this acquisition is underscored by the integration of SAGE's experienced founding team, which includes industry veterans Todd Cater, Timothy Dertzbaugh, and Michael Whalen. This team brings a proven track record in U.S. energy infrastructure, having successfully developed and monetized 4.2 GW of energy projects prior to establishing SAGE. Their expertise in site origination, complex grid interconnections, and the development of co-located power solutions will significantly enhance Stark Power's operational capabilities and market positioning.

Stark Power, founded by senior executives with extensive backgrounds in leading energy and infrastructure companies, is well-equipped to leverage this acquisition. The company has recently secured approximately NIS 430 million (around USD 140 million) from prominent Israeli institutional investors, providing the necessary capital to advance SAGE's development pipeline and pursue additional opportunities in the U.S. power and data center infrastructure market. This financial backing is expected to facilitate Stark Power's growth and reinforce its strategy of powering the world's largest hyperscalers.

The acquisition of SAGE reflects broader trends within the energy and data center sectors, where the demand for reliable and efficient power solutions continues to rise. As hyperscale data centers proliferate, the need for integrated power infrastructure becomes increasingly critical. Stark Power's strategic expansion into this market, bolstered by SAGE's capabilities, positions the company to capitalize on emerging opportunities and solidify its role as a key player in the evolving landscape of energy infrastructure.
